Hey

Hey guys, I'm Conall, 20 from the United Kingdom, part of the tophatwaffle community :) nice to be here.

Here's some of my map work, kinda basic and early stages but hey, i'll show you guys anyway:

First map is basically a complete remake of the original cs_mansion from CS 1.6, they didn't port it to Source (because it sucked i guess). but heres some early screenshots for ya :)
Swimming pool area (not in the original, I know but hey upgrades are fine, imo)

CT spawn screenshot, not exactly detailed right now, but this will change.

Far end of CT spawn, supposed to show "vehicles" which T's turned up in, purely cosmetic but hey, I'm like that.

Next ones are purely random, not sure what it's going to be yet but hey, i'll show you anyway.

Welcome to Type 3!

awesome work so far, man, really. Granted, I never played on mansion, so I don't have anything to compare with, but I'm loving your architecture so far.
again, really, really good work.
only crit: very first... screenshot is REALLY bloomy. i can't remember a sidewalk ever hurting my eyes before ;)
all in all though, terrific.

Welcome.

Looks very nice, love the blue room. I would suggest you size down the trees in the 3d skybox in the first picture. (the texture)
I would also suggest doing your stairs in the blue room more like this;

Nah no color correction on these yet, it's just done with lighting, hdr tonemap and lightmap scales :)

Looks great so far.
I'm not so good with tonemap yet. Been working on it for a while but haven't got it down yet.

Easy to get used to, just place the tonemapcontroller entity in map, name it. go ingame and fire entity commands until it looks nice, write down and fire it via logic_auto :)
