That 'unexpected symbol' part happens when you input an invalid symbol...I did that in a game_text entity once. It seems Hammer does not appove of some symbols being entered as an output on entities. Also, there seems to be some sort of problem with the toolstrigger texture, and that also kills my compiles in some cases. In others it either turns blank white or full black.

He's talking about in the directory part of the compile log right after steamapps is his name and he'd like it removed. Starts with an o ends with an a

Ohhh, When he said mods I thought he was talking to Source mod groups. Which made everything after that make even less sense.
I think I got them all out.
