Doubt it, 'cos I get several such errors myself and all my guns show up just fine.

Send Joff the very latest ver of your map - the one on which weapons dont work for you. That way you can be 100% sure its the map and not something else.

Dont know.

Eg - if I dont use item_suit and I walk over a dropped weapon, it automatically shows up in my hands regardless. I think item_suit is "required" to show the player HUD, but not compulsory to view weapons.

Dont know why you were having a displacement issue though. Maybe its normal? Will check and let u know.

I get ZERO displacement when donning the item_suit at spawn. Cant understand why you get displaced...?

Another test based on what you wrote earlier -

Backup your map, DELETE all your color correction work including raw files etc. and re-compile and run the map.

BTW, do you have hammer "auto-save" on? I always keep it on so I can go back to various earlier versions of my maps if required....

Last resort, either I (or someone else) create a "new" mod, rar the release dir structure and upload it for you. You then unrar it under sourcemods and place your map in the proper directory, restart Steam and test....

Actually the version i sent you was the version that i have made with the dlls from HL2 SP hence its what i am using to sort out your menu, All you have to do is compare the files until you find something different then make the change and test until you find exactly what it was...

It cant be the map as i dont have a problem getting the map to work on Outbreak, Ep1, HL2

100% its the map. Sent to Joff to test it:

Joff: no weapons

The crowbar model is there (although maybe in a painful place lol). When you go thirdperson is the weapon model normally there? or is it actually in the hand? Anyway... the point is its that but cant be seen in first person.

type in cam_command 1 and you will get only the weapon model

they did in the first but not in the second, so locigcally it must be something to do with the map as my files are different to his, i originally thought it had something to do with the HUD file but then i realised that it cant be as the files are different, must have something to do with the map, All the enemys show though and the weapon models are there.

but not in first person view which is odd

Just thought of a another thing.

Andy, use the "cordon" tool and compile smaller areas of your map one by one till you cover the whole map.

Alternately, you can start with a small cordoned off area and increase its size gradually to cover the entire map.

See if your weapons show up when you cordon off areas. That way, you may be able to find what area is causing the problem and narrow down your search for whatever is at fault...
