Re: BOP now has a home on ModDB!

No clue. Maybe it updates the ranking dayly by makeing an average of the distance of time between mod edits.
So if you edit yours every day it goes up really high, but if you neder edit it then it goes down.
Just my idea of how it works.

Re: BOP now has a home on ModDB!

yeah, i think it factors in frequency of edits, time since last edit, as well as user ratings and number of users who visit in a given day...

that's just speculation though.

Re: BOP now has a home on ModDB!

Maybe I should just get a brain and ask ModDB! What a novel idea, eh? :t3lol:

On another note, I remember when I first got here to these forums that there was only one topic on any of the subforums that had reached a second page and most of the posts were ancient. Now look at us! This thread had gone to 6 pages and there are posts from 2 if not 3 people daily. What progress...now we just need more new members!

I did post a news item on our Mod DB profile telling everybody to come visit the forums for all the latest discussion and news or just join our humble community... :t3biggrin:

Hey vecima, is there a way that you can track the forum traffic here? I was curious if you caould because then we could tell better if anyone was coming to visit us even if they haven't registered yet. I know that I was lurker around here for a while after the forum switch before I revealed myself. :) I'm hoping that my post on ModDB will help bring us some new...to borrow from Adam Foster...acolytes! ;)

think the only thing you can do is put in traffic counters that log the traffic each day into a .txt document then reset themselves.

A fun CodeIgniter project ey vecima :P

Re: BOP now has a home on ModDB!

Don't worry about it then. I was just curious if there was something already in place that would do that. I know you are way too busy to create something new right now.
