ts good that you have looked, after you have done that look at blender, it has a game engine built in which is simple to use...

It uses logic bricks and python, the bricks are basically like code and need a bit more thought than GM

Ok. Now I have built the client and the server projects for my mod in the compiler.
Now, how do I add scripts and vugi panels weapons materials in such to it?
Or should have I made a mod from code?

Re: OK, So I made and empty folder.

Cool thanks.
Also I'm actually planned for a long time to learn programing too.
So I actually can get pretty far (relatively) at compiling, oh wait I get it.
Your referring to what I asked about :?

I'm sure this was talked about around here somewhere, but I Now have IRRLICHT.
But I don't think it's my type of game engine.

I've installed the from scratch code mod. And that works fine.
But I think I will test your stuff out instead. :t3cool:
Man too bad I can't install my games I don't play on another drive for the content.( I think you can I don't remember)
I know how to change the file paths, but won't Steam just reset it?
I'm one of those gamers that likes to have a set amount of disk space available, on the main drive.

Anyways, also I'm going to go through some simple tutorials for CPP.
To learn how to make little scripts and stuff.

//edit: I keep forgetting about Blender, Man I really need to stick with something.

you will pick it up eventually, when you are looking at cpp tutorials try not to look at application development you want to look more into graphics

Re: OK, So I made and empty folder.

OK, and do I need C# I hear that referenced allot with games?
Or is that just for console games?

And I have little patience with blender and textures, but I did get one to work
but I couldn't get the second on to work.
But I'm pretty good with the terrain and sculpt tools. Sort of cool really.
And I have exported many, many hand sculpted terrains and imported them into a certain ID tech 4 game, and added pretty good megatextures all inside the sdk, which I must say no one has been able to figure out but me,
but no one seemed to care . :t3eek: :?

Re: OK, So I made and empty folder.

You don't need c#. Everyone uses C++ these days, and lot's of games / engines are built from C++ alone.

C++ FTW, it's as simple as that :t3blkninjavanish:

Re: OK, So I made and empty folder.

once you learn c++, c# is easy. It's like java. c# and java both hold your hand through just about everything.

anyway, c# is good if you would like to create XNA games (which is a pretty cool platform).

Re: OK, So I made and empty folder.

From the little bit I've learned from my book on c#, I like it. I actually like the .net framework in general, besides the extra bloat.
